What is an End-of-Life Doula?

An end-of-life doula is someone who provides companionship, comfort, and guidance to those planning for death, diagnosed with a terminal illness, or facing imminent death. Doulas offer nonmedical holistic support encompassing emotional, spiritual, and practical care. Doulas offer resources to help the dying person and their circle of care make informed decisions in a supportive environment.

About Me

I am a certified end of life doula and death educator. I holds a master’s degree from Harvard Divinity School and have extensive experience in meditation and transpersonal psychology. I was trained and certified by the International End of Life Doula Association and have been an end of life doula at Hudson Valley Hospice since 2019. I provide spiritual care for those facing the sacred passage of dying. I am a compassionate companion offering guidance and emotional support to individuals facing death and their loved ones. My work is rooted in the understanding that death is a transition from the physical world to a spiritual realm.  I honor the deeply personal and spiritual nature of dying, helping clients navigate grief, process emotions, and prepare for their soul’s journey. Through life review, end-of-life planning, and mindfulness practices, I help to create and hold a sacred space for dignity, peace, and spiritual exploration.
